... until it's time to lift something heavy, open a jar of pickles, kill a spider/bug/other vermin, cut the grass, pay for dinner and drinks, pay the mortgage, open doors, pull out a chair, help her put on her coat, pay child support for a kid he didn't want, fix her car, do manual labor, build infrastructure, invent household machines to make women's lives easier, drive her somewhere in a cab, fly her somewhere in an airplane, save her life in a fire or an emergency, go to war, and invent computers for feminists to bitch about men on the internet, among many other things that these "independent modern women" so often supposedly can do just fine for themselves.

I Am SO Thankful For My Male Privilege

It seems that men these days are always getting told to "check your male privilege" by feminists who are foaming at the mouth. Well, I decided to take them up on that offer, and do just that. Let's check my male privilege! Here it goes.

In the United States:

• Males are more likely to be victims of murder (76.8%)
• Males are more likely to be victims of drug (90.5%) and gang-related homicides (94.6%)

• Males are 2 times more likely to be victims of aggravated assault
• Males are 4.5 times more likely to be victims of a homicide or attempted murder
• Males are 1.8 times more likely to be victims of a robbery

In the United states:

• In 2013, men were 57% of the workforce, but made up 93% of deaths in the workplace related to fatal accidents or violence

• 51.3% of the homeless are single males, as opposed to 24.7% single females. (24% are families with children).

Men are required to pay more money for car insurance, simply for being male. The excuse that insurance companies use is that they rely on "data collected for decades" that shows that male drivers get into more accidents. However, what they do not take into account is that men on average drive more miles than women. The bottom line is that men pay more for car insurance because they are men. If this situation was reversed, feminists would be outraged, protesting that you shouldn't lump all women into one category. Well, the door swings both ways.

In the United States, men are required to sign up for selective service at the age of 18, or face severe consequences. Women do not have this requirement. What consequences, you ask?

• A man who fails to register may be fined $250,000 and/or a term of up to five years in prison.
• Men born after December 31, 1959, who aren't registered with selective service won't qualify for federal student loans or grant programs. They also don't qualify for federal job training.
• Men who fail to register for selective service are not eligible for jobs in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government or the Postal Service
• Certain states may have additional penalties for not registering

Since we are on this topic, let's talk a little military.

• In World War I, there were approximately between 8.2 and 10.5 million men killed on the battlefield
• In World War II, approximately 14.2 million men were killed in battle, and that's just the Allied forces. With the Axis casualties, it comes to 20.8 million.
• In the Korean War, 33,686 men were killed in combat.
• In the Vietnam War, 58,300 men were killed, 1,641 are MIA, and 153,303 were wounded in combat.
• Between 2003 and 2008, men made up 97.68% of military deaths in Iraq

In the United States, of those who died by suicide in 2011, 78.5% were male.

Third Wave Feminist Hysteria is Going Too Far

Earlier today, I was reading the front page of CNN and came across this article:

Girl's letter to sports retailer calls out gender imbalance in catalog

Now, these articles are not uncommon in today's society with all the rampant third wave feminist hysteria going on, but I just had to go in on this one. Here we have a 12 year old girl who thumbed through a Dick's sporting goods basketball catalog, and upon seeing that there are no female basketball players depicted, she took it upon herself to write a letter of complaint to the company accusing them of being SEXIST. That's right. Simply because no women were included AS PLAYERS, Dick's sporting goods must be an evil sexist company that wants to bring women down. And of course, not surprisingly, the feminist sharks smelled the blood and began circling, eager to further perpetuate the eternal victim status of women, and gave this girl a massive amount of support. As you can see, it was even picked up by CNN.

Let's take this girl's logic now, and apply it consistently across the board. I looked through this same catalog, and saw not one fat guy in there. Outrageous, right? I guess Dick's sporting goods is discriminatory against fat guys. You know what else I didn't see? Asians. Not a single one. Dick's, therefore, must be racist against Asians. Wait a minute now, I counted the number of white players in the catalog, and there are about twice as many non-white players. Furthermore, on page 7, it shows a black player shooting the ball, with a stand full of mostly white people behind him. What is Dick's trying to say, that white people can't play basketball? Or are they saying that all black people are good at basketball? Either way, they are racist against BOTH. What about handicapped people? Not one single person in a wheelchair! The nerve! I bet the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is pissed about this! Dick's is clearly against handicapped people! Do you see where I'm going with this? Do you see the absolute foolishness and buffoonery? And what makes it infinitely worse, is that people just sit there and nod their empty heads in agreement with this child. Instead of explaining to her that this is not sexist and that she is not a victim, they further reinforce within her this professional victim mentality! 

What Dick's did is NOT sexist. What would be sexist is if Dick's prohibited women from patronizing their stores (which would be perfectly OK if it were done to a man by the way, like female only gyms for example, but that's a topic for another day.) Bottom line is, you are free to shop at their store (or not), and you are free to play basketball as much or as seldom as your little heart desires, and the amount of females in a catalog is not going to change that. Stop being a professional victim. It is the only way to become empowered.
